Livelihood and Skills Development Program

Productivity and employment opportunities are concerns addressed by Tuloy-tuloy na Serbisyo program.

Residents of Las Piñas Manpower Training Center and Women’s Livelihood Center. These trainings are designs to help those who want to put up a business of their own or acquire skills useful to gain employment.

Women and out-of-school youths from the city’s 20 barangays cans choose from classes like reflexology, housekeeping, cosmetology, food & beverage and food processing. The trainees not only learn the theoretical foundation but also able to practice their skills when deployed in the barangays for their on-the-job training. After finishing the course, the trainees are able to earn a living and contribute to their family income.

KALIPI (Kalipunan ng liping Pilipina), a women’s organization spearheaded by the First Lady of Las Piñas Imelda T. Aguilar, is one of the stakeholders in the livelihood and skills development projects. KALIPI chapters in the livelihood and skills development projects. KALIPI chapters in the barangays that actively promote women empowerment are responsible for organizing the women and mothers facilitating the success and sustainability of the trainings.
