MEETING THE BARANGAY CAPTAINS

Pressing issues affecting the barangays were discussed during the recently held meeting at the Las Piñas City Hall hosted by Mayor Imelda T. Aguilar. The city government according to Mayor Aguilar would work closely with the barangays to address problems about illegal parking, waste management, and public safety. She enjoined the barangay captains to take a proactive stance in solving these problems by strictly enforcing the existing local and national laws in their respective barangays.

Also present during the meeting was Police Senior Supt. Marion D. Balonglong (Chief of Police) updated the barangay captains about the peace and order situation of the city. He cited the need for closer coordination between the police forces and the barangay officials to achieve a peaceful and crime-free community.

The city’s chief traffic enforcer, Police Senior Insp. Albert DT. Arevalo, who was also present at the meeting, reminded the barangay captains to be active partners in the implementation of traffic rules.
